Our Story

Founding and Mission

Founded in 2017 by a group of dedicated parents with a shared vision, the Mongol Erdem language culture school began as a small initiative with a single language class, born out of the desire for their children to stay connected to their roots. Since then, it has blossomed into a cultural center for the area's many Mongolian-American residents, offering a variety of programs, including language, dance and instrument, and many more.

School-age children participate in Mongolian language classes and other practical life-skills courses tailored to different age groups. Traditional Mongolian dance and music (Morin Khuur) lessons are offered, for example, allowing students to connect with their roots through the rhythms and instruments of their ancestors. The school also partners with many Mongolian-American owned establishments that expands students' learning selection to include martial art training in Jiu-Jitsu, music lessons in Piano and Guitar, and mental math proficiency through Soroban Abacus training.
In addition to these classes, we regularly host guest speakers who share their expertise on Mongolian culture, thus enriching our students’ class experience and ultimately, their understanding.

Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where the next generation can learn, embrace, and preserve their Mongolian heritage by offering a wide range of language, cultural, and artistic programs for all ages.

Mongol Erdem is a non-profit organization run by dedicated parents within the community, committed to creating a nurturing space where our children can thrive, grow, and stay connected. All tuition fees and donations directly support the school's activities, ensuring we can continue offering meaningful programs that empower our community's children to learn and grow.
